The elevated site “In die Gries” in Egna is exposed to the afternoon sun and offers perfect conditions to our Lagrein, Merlot, Grauvernatsch, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer.
This vineyard is marked by the porphyry, stony soil. Since centurys, the material is carried by the Rio Trodena and sedimented in Egna, forming a sandy soil, so that our wines can get their characteristic aroma, their finesse and longevity. The quartz crystal sand is slightly loamy and connects the roots of the plants to the porphyry, giving them additional precious minerals.
